Table – Notification Settings
For our church who use River’s Table (our private online community), I would highly recommend each of you taking 2 minutes and properly setting your notifications. I will go through how to do this to make sure you receive all your proper notifications & don’t miss out on any important information. Let me take you through 4 easy steps to set this up:
1.) Access your profile
To access your profile, click on the top bar where it says “Howdy” and then your name.
2.) Edit Profile
From this tab pulled down, click “Edit Profile” under your photo on the left side.
3.) Receiving Quicknotes
From here, on the right side, you will see a drop down for where to receive your Quicknotes. It gives you 3 options, I recommend choosing either email or text message via your cell phone.
4.) Notifications
On the left side, you can click on the tab that says “Notifications & Email”. From this menu, you can adjust the “all” to “Everything” on the slider, and then make sure you click “Save”.
*Reset Default?
You may see a message pop-up saying “Reset to Default Notifications” in the “Notifications & Email” section before you have this option to change the slider. You will need to click this and then follow step # 4.
That is it! From now on you should receive any & all Quicknotes, new Discussions, Prayer Requests, Serve Needs, Group postings, etc. For further customization, you can click on the “All” at the top and refine how you receive specific notifications as well, such as: prayer, groups, etc.
For more on this, please see the Table’s FAQ section: http://tableproject.org/faqs/#emailpref
Table – Prayer Video
Here is the video we are playing this Sunday at our services. It demonstrates the power of prayer, and the way The Table can help to communicate to other believers in the church that you’re standing in the gap for them!. Enjoy!
Table Tip – Adding a Profile Picture
To add a profile picture, in River’s Table, click “Howdy” with your name after it on the top left of your screen. This should bring down your profile tab. On the left, you will see a placeholder where your picture should be. Underneath that is a button that says “Change Pic”. Just upload your picture and you’re profile will have your personal picture to go on all your prayer requests, discussions, etc.
*1 more tip – try to choose closeup face pictures of you alone.
Here is why to add a profile picture:
Connecting with people has always been a challenge in any church. If you’re new you don’t know where to start and you’re quickly overwhelmed. If you’ve been there for a while, it’s awkward to ask someone’s name when you should really know it. But nothing elicits a smile like remembering someone’s name and making them feel welcome.
The Table’s directory gives us a way to start learning and remembering names and make connecting less of a challenge.
